“Oldtimers” documents the stories and recollections of an elderly community that gathered at Original McCarthy’s, an historic but desolate bar in San Francisco’s Mission District. The film centers around a trio of country and western musicians who perform the songs of Hank Williams Sr. at McCarthy’s every Friday night. “Oldtimers” examines the loneliness these elderly people face each day, and the resilience and vitality of the community they have created for themselves.
